A falcon is perched on his arm as he gallops across an expansive plain. In front of him a flock of startled wild geese rise out of the reeds. Emperor Hsüan-tsung wears a robe embroidered with mythical fish-like creatures. The robe opens on the right and extends beyond his knees. Dragons are embroidered on the shoulders, the chest, and the back. His round-brim hat decorated with a bead is based upon Yüan dynasty hats. His facial features and expression bear close resemblance to his formal portrait. This depiction of Emperor Hsüan-tsung riding and hunting is a pictorial example of the importance placed on martial skills. 网页展示说明 本幅无画家款识,画幅左方浮贴一行书小籤,上书「宣宗行乐」四字。描绘宣宗骑马出猎,臂上架鹰,奔驰于河边,惊起雁群的情景。史册记载宣宗重视弓马,精于骑射。图中宣宗面容饱满,须眉浓密,穿着薄底白靴与胸、肩、膝盖处织绣纹饰的交领右衽黄袍。所戴帽顶附有顶珠,推测款式受到元代草原游牧民族影响,帽簷两侧也带有装饰,与北京故宫《明宣宗行乐图卷》所画的宣宗衣饰相同。(20120407) 网页展示说明 This painting bears no inscription of the artist, but attached at the lower left is a small label with four characters in running script that reads, "Xuanzong indulging in pleasure." Depicting Xuanzong on horseback on a hunting trip, a falcon is perched on his arm as he gallops by the banks of a river to scare up wild geese. Historical records indicate that Xuanzong was fond of arts related to the bow and horse, being gifted at horseback archery. In the painting here, Xuanzong is shown with a full face and dense beard as he wears thin white riding boots as well as a collared right-folding yellow robe decorated with brocade over the chest, shoulders, and knees. His hat with a bead at the top is thought to have been influenced by that used by nomadic peoples of the plains in the Yuan dynasty. The decoration on either side of the hat is identical to that worn by Xuanzong in the handscroll "Emperor Xuanzong of the Ming Indulging in Pleasure," now in the Palace Museum, Beijing.(20120407) 网页展示说明 本作に画家の落款はないが、画面左に付笺が贴られており、行书で「宣宗行楽」と记してある。この作品には骑马の宣徳帝が狩猟に向かう场面が描かれている。腕にタカをとまらせた宣徳帝が川辺を駆け抜けて行き、カリの群れを惊かせている。史书によれば、宣徳帝は弓术と马术を重视し、骑射に优れていたそうである。画中の宣徳帝はふくよかで、眉は太く、たっぷりとしたひげを蓄えている。薄底の白い靴を履き、胸と肩、膝に织り文様のある、襟を右前に重ねた黄袍を身にまとっている。帽子の顶には顶珠がつけてあり、このような装饰は元代の游牧民の影响を受けたものと思われる。帽子の縁の両侧にも装饰があり、北京故宫博物院所蔵の「明宣宗行楽図巻」に描かれた宣徳帝と全く同じ服装である。(20120407)
