收藏着录： 故宫书画录（卷五），第三册，页146 收藏着录： 故宫书画图录，第三册，页105 内容简介（中文）： 树叶和芦矛经霜成了赭黄色，秋意已深。在平原上游散着一大一小两头牛，小牛被遗落在后，急了便高耸着鼻子呼唤。母牛停下了脚步，回过头来等候着，足见母子情深。画家描绘小牛的鸣叫，张着唇吻，屈着前足，背高高的耸起，尾却朝上轻摇。对牛在鸣叫时骨骼筋络的反应，研究观察得非常精细，使人看了，彷彿也可以听到小牛的呼叫声。诚为一南宋无款佳作。 内容简介（英文）： A pair of oxen-a cow and her calf-amble across an open autumn field with tree leaves and reeds having already turned brown from frost, indicating late autumn as the time of year. The calf, lingering to the rear, cries out in fear of being left behind. The cow stops in her tracks and turns her head as if to wait. The expression of the cow has been captured perfectly, as are the details of the calf with its open mouth, wrinkled nose and wagging tail. The artist was obviously very familiar with the anatomy of oxen and had studied them closely. As a result, it is almost as if the viewer can hear the sound of the calf, thus making this a superb anonymous painting of the Southern Sung (1127-1279).
