收藏着录： 石渠宝笈初编（养心殿），上册，页628 收藏着录： 故宫书画录（卷四），第二册，页253 收藏着录： 故宫书画图录，第二十册，页147-150 内容简介（中文）： 王武（西元一六三二－一六九○年）字勤中，号忘庵。吴县（江苏苏州）人。家中富于收藏，经常钻研临习，务得其法。尤其擅长花鸟画，神韵生动，妙得天真。此卷以水墨写意的画法，描绘几种秋冬时节的花果，有秋葵、海棠、菊花、桂花、梅花、柑橘、天竺等。花叶俯仰相背，枝桠横斜，互有呼应，若有情意。笔法虽然率意，却不失精细，显现了秀逸雅致的一面。 内容简介（英文）： Wang Wu, a native of Soochow, came from a family with an extensive collection of art, which he copied and studied. He was especially skilled at painting flowers, achieving the spirit and likeness of his subject. This handscroll was painted in monochrome ink in the “sketching ideas” manner. Depicted are flowers and fruits of autumn and winter, including hollyhocks, begonias, chrysanthemums, cassia, plum blossoms, citrus, and geraniums. The flowers and leaves twist and turn in a variety of poses and angles that give a lively sense to the work. Though the brushwork is sketchy, of the details have been lost as the artist has revealed the elegant and refined side to the subject matter.
